Electronic Shelf Labels
Cutting-edge Electronic Shelf Labels solutions designed for a wide range of environments.
An electronic shelf label (ESL) is a small e-ink display that replaces the paper price tag on a store shelf. Each label connects wirelessly to your store’s central management system and updates pricing, promotions, and product data in real time – across hundreds or thousands of SKUs simultaneously, with no manual intervention.
For Singapore retailers, this means the end of the daily labour cycle of printing, cutting, and manually replacing paper labels. It also means fewer pricing errors at checkout, faster response to competitor price moves, and staff freed up for customer-facing work instead of administrative tasks

Step 1 – Labels on the Shelf
Each electronic price tag sits in a standard shelf rail clip. The graphical screen shows the item name, price, barcode, promotion flag, or any data field you would like to configure. Our top selling multi-colour displays make sale prices and alerts unmissable.
Step 2 – Wireless Gateway Network
Small gateways installed across the store ceiling communicate with every label via SoluM’s proprietary Newton protocol – delivering updates at 10x the speed of older ESL systems. One gateway covers a large floor area effectively and efficiently.
Step 3 – Central Management via AIMS Cloud Software
SoluM’s AIMS cloud platform connects to your POS, ERP, or pricing engine. When a price changes in your backend, the update pushes to the relevant shelf labels automatically. You can also schedule promotions, display mulitple pages per label, run price tests, and even monitor label battery health from a single browser dashboard, anywhere.
Eight sizes from 1.6″ to 7.5″. Four-colour e-ink, 10+ year battery, NFC, and a slim profile that fits standard shelf rails out of the box. The starting point for most Singapore supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience stores, and specialty retailers.
IP68-rated, up to 16 sizes (1.6″ to 12.2″), and specialist models for freezers (−25°C), extreme environments (−20°C to 60°C), and full-colour product imagery. Built for department stores, cold chain, DIY retailers, and premium merchandising.
32-inch battery-powered e-paper poster displays, ultra-compact peg-hook labels for fashion and DIY, dual-sided 11.6″ displays for island gondolas, and industrial pick-by-light tags for warehouse operations.
ELSE is the authorised SoluM distributor in Singapore. That matters because it means genuine hardware, manufacturer firmware updates, local warranty and technical support.
ELSE and SoluM manages local ex-stock of many of the popular product ranges. That means no 8-week international freight wait for your first deployment, and no supply gap for replacement units. For urgent rollouts, we can move quickly.
We have deployed ESL in Singapore retail environments since 2008 – before many current suppliers existed. That means we know exactly which label sizes suit your display needs, which shelf edge holder and attachments to fit, which gateway placements work and more.
SoluM Newton labels use low-power e-ink displays rated for over 10 years on standard coin-cell batteries under normal update cycles. The AIMS cloud dashboard monitors battery levels across your entire estate so you can plan replacements before a label goes dark – no surprise outages.
Yes. SoluM platform supports integration with most major POS and ERP. ELSE handles the integration as part of the deployment package – there is no separate systems integrator to manage.
The Newton protocol delivers updates at 10x the speed of older ESL systems. A complete full store-wide update typically completes within minutes. Individual label updates happen in seconds. For flash sales and same-day promotions, this speed is a genuine operational advantage.
ROI depends on many factors including store size, update frequency, and current labour costs. Most retailers recover their investment within 18 to 36 months through reduced label printing costs, eliminated pricing errors, and reallocated staff hours.
No. The gateway infrastructure and AIMS cloud software can scale to any number of labels. Adding more labels to an existing deployment requires no additional infrastructure in most cases.
