WHEN STANDARD SCREENS ARE NOT ENOUGH

Some retail environments in Singapore call for signage that does more than sit flat on a wall. A glass-fronted shopfront might need a display that communicates to pedestrians outside while simultaneously showing internal promotions to in-store shoppers. A boutique might work better with a square display than a widescreen. A service counter might need a compact touchscreen for queue management or self-service check-in.
The SoluM Special display range is built for these scenarios. Each product format is designed for a placement or use case that standard rectangular widescreen displays cannot serve well.

SPECIAL DISPLAY TYPES

Dual Displays (37 inch / 49 inch / 55 inch) – Indoor and Outdoor-Facing

Displays with two screen faces – one indoor, one outdoor-facing. The 49 inch and 55 inch models deliver 700 cd/m2 on the indoor face and 3,000 cd/m2 on the outdoor face, making them clearly visible through glass storefronts in direct Singapore sunlight. The 37 inch dual display runs at 700 cd/m2 on both sides in a bar format.

37 inch Dual: 899.7 x 253.0 mm | 1,920 x 540 | 700 cd/m2 both sides | Bar format

49 inch Dual: 1,074.0 x 604.0 mm | 1,920 x 1,080 | 700 cd/m2 indoor / 3,000 cd/m2 outdoor

55 inch Dual: 1,209.0 x 680.4 mm | 1,920 x 1,080 | 700 cd/m2 indoor / 3,000 cd/m2 outdoor

BEST FOR

Glass-fronted retail units in Singapore shopping malls, street-level storefronts, and any installation where you need to communicate to both indoor and outdoor audiences simultaneously.

33.2 inch Square Display – Break the Widescreen Monotony

A 1:1 aspect ratio screen (1,920 x 1,920 resolution) at 500 cd/m2. The square format stands out visually in environments where every other screen is 16:9. Particularly effective for social media content, product close-ups, and brand storytelling content that widescreen formats waste.

BEST FOR

Boutiques, galleries, hospitality venues, cosmetics counters, and any retail environment where visual differentiation from competitors matters.

10.1 inch Touchpoints – Interactive at the Service Counter

Compact 10.1 inch screens in three variants: a higher-resolution Tablet model (1,200 x 1,920, 350 cd/m2) and two LCD models (800 x 1,280, 300 cd/m2) in single and dual configurations. Use them as interactive kiosk touchpoints, queue management screens, product catalogue terminals, or service counter displays.

MODELS

  • 10.1 inch Tablet: 1,200 x 1,920 | 350 cd/m2 | Higher resolution for interactive applications
  • 10.1 inch Single LCD: 800 x 1,280 | 300 cd/m2 | Standard information display
  • 10.1 inch Dual LCD: 800 x 1,280 | 300 cd/m2 | Counter-top dual-screen configuration

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The outdoor face of the 49 inch and 55 inch dual displays delivers 3,000 cd/m2 – bright enough to be readable in direct sunlight through standard retail glass. Singapore’s intense afternoon sun does not wash these screens out. The indoor face runs at 700 cd/m2 to match indoor retail lighting conditions.

Yes. The tablet model supports custom applications, web-based content, and API integrations. ELSE can work with your software team to deploy your own wayfinding, catalogue, or check-in application on the hardware. Contact us to discuss your software requirements.

The 1:1 square format is natively proportioned for social media content, product close-up photography, and any layout where 16:9 widescreen wastes canvas at the edges. In an environment where every other screen is widescreen, a square display also creates visual contrast that draws attention.
